Description
Omnipollo® is a beer production company founded by brewer Henok Fentie and artist Karl Grandin in 2010 with a shared vision of changing the perception of beer — forever.

We brew a plethora of styles to explore what beer has and can become. As a joint and equal partnership between a brewer and a graphic artist our creative process has come to resemble the work shop of other pop cultural expressions such as music.

Our beers are always a collaborative effort and we brew at breweries in all corners of the world. This approach means we get to stay curious, grounded and tuned in. Much like that good house guest.

500 ml bottle shared @ The Rover. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is subtle, hoppy, bitter and tiny sour with pine, pineapples, grass and a strange chemical cleanser-like smell. Taste is hoppy and bitter with pine, grass, pineapple, gooseberries, dusty hay, resinous wood, wet earth, steel and orange peal. Mouthfeel is unbalanced and thin bodied. Finish is bitter with grapefruit and orange peal. I feel it lacks the malt backbone to balance out the high bitterness and hoppy character and make it a good beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Fresh hoppy nose, loads of citrus and pine - but the richness of hoppy oils becomes a little much. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, an initial ligtly sweet fruitiness that quickly disappears and gives room to the fairly aggressive bitterness - almost astringent. Somewhat overhopped and rough. 100312

330 ml bottle @ BAJT on November 24. Pours golden with a big white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell has lots of esters, cilantro, banana, yeast, allspice and white pepper in it. Taste is sweet, bitter and slightly watery. There’s lots of white pepper and lemon zest and the beer sports a peppery bitterness. Finish is dry, yeasty and bitter. Very drinkable and in my opinion very enjoyable.Re-rate: Crisp and hoppy Beligan IPA. Great stuff and it’s lovely to see widened distribution of this. My first beer 2014 and I’m sure I’ll drink it again and again. Raising the rating alot. --- Beer merged from original tick of Levon on 01 Jan 2014 at 01:30 - Score: 8
