Bottle from a local bottle shop. Bit watery, grainy aroma with soft floral notes. Not much else going on. Modest bitterness. Light body.

Can. Clear gold with small white head. Light malty caramel, biscuit with a hint of citrus and grassy hop. Taste has a light biscuit watery malt with apricot and grassy bitter hops - but pretty stale tasting in truth. Not great.

500ml bottle. Pours near black with brief beige head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, coffee, some sweetness; everything you would expect, lacks any intensity but ok. Its a mellow pleasant session stout, taste wise. Sweet but with enough bitterness to offset. Quite a bit of chocolate biscuit, light roast and hint of coffee bean and berry. Light bodied for the style but very drinkable. This is not for the stout purists. I suspect its more aimed at your average hobgoblin fans that may have only the occasional dark beer so somewhat toned down. However on the plus side its more sessionable than your average stout.
