Bottle, 500 ml at Ambasada. Cloudy golden with medium white head. Malty, bit grainy, sweet, bready. vague bitterness in finish. Somewhat bland.

Fresh batch at the brewpub. Was a neuheit at our arrival. Mulitple seidla's. Pours slight unclear yellow with a white head. Mandarine, grass, straw, honey dew and lemon. Crackers. A touch of charming farmhouse reminding me of De La Senne. Dry short bitter finish. This was stunning!

Draught @ Brewpub, Nurnberg. 2 seidla's. Pours black with a small stable mocha brown head. Roast, chocolate and ashes. Super smooth and dry with a roasted bitter finish. Excellent.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, some herbal, mild earthy and grassy notes. Flavour is biscuity, some floral, mild wooden and some slight grainy tones to it.

Schanzenbräu Sternenbock, Fläschchen von den Getränkerittern. - Tiefdunkles Kupferrot, schwach trüb. - In der Nase verlockend exotische Hopfung: rote Beeren, gezuckerte Pampelmuse, etwas Tabak. - Antrunk satt und kernig zitrusfruchtig hopfenherb mit blassen Anklängen an rote Beeren, leichte Tanninherbe, an trockenen Rotwein erinnernd, gedämpft fruchtig, eindeutig untergärig. Milder rezent, vollmundig, sauber kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang solide aber etwas schmalspurige Hopfenbittere mit leichten holzigen Noten. - Unkonventionell gehopfter roter Bock, in der Nase noch recht vielversprechend fruchtig, im Mund dagegen etwas schmalspurig und eigenartig holzig, mehr Kirschkern als Kirsche. Nicht so recht überzeugend. (7.12.2022.)

Pale colour, hazy, large frothy head that stays long. Aroma is wort, malt, a bit of grassy hops. Light bitterness. Light body. Not bad .
