Description
Established in 2009, Inishmacsaint is a small-scale, farm-based craft brewery in County Fermanagh that produces mainly bottle-conditioned beers. The company was originally formed by farmer Gordon Fallis in 2009.

The success of the first brews led to a decision by Mr Fallis to expand the business and form a new partnership with local businessman Norman Donaldson, who runs the Old Pal's Bar in Derrygonnelly with his father Steve. It's also meant moving the micro-brewery to bigger premises behind the bar.

We take our name from an island that nestles in the beautiful waters of Lough Erne near the village of Derrygonnelly. Our range of craft beers reflect the history and character of our local area - carrying on a tradition established by the ancient monks who began brewing beer here on Inishmacsaint over 900 years ago.

Naturally, all our beers are made from the finest ingredients. And we also include our own locally grown hops and herbs when making our extra special batches each year - so you get a genuine flavour of the Fermanagh countryside. However, our most famous ingredient is the famed waters of Fermanagh’s lakes and streams. Because if it wasn’t for the fine rain that falls on our county, none of our beers would be possible.

From cask at the lovely Dog & Bell, Deptford, London, 30.03.25. Hazy pale amber. Diminishing white head and lacing. Well-balanced aroma and taste of sweet pale malt, Sevilla marmalade, tamarind and ripe papaya. Moderate bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Good drinkability.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of pine, malts, citrus and hints of orange. Taste is a little bitter but follows through on the flavours of the orange and the tropical fruits. Enjoyed this.

Hazy pale blond colour with lasting head. Aroma of overripe banana and Belgian yeast. Sweet taste but the slightly spicy elements from the yeast add welcome complexity. This can stand up to many of the better Blond Ales from Belgium.
