Can to becher glass.
Appearance: glossy yellow to copper color with a one finger white foamy head which fell off to leave some light lace
Aroma: danky/oniony hop tones up front, grassy to piney hop tones, subtle citrusy hop tones in the middle then some caramel/toffee malts
Flavor: blends those prior noted aromas together in a West coast bittersweet fashion; finishes piney and oniony/danky
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness and light hop bitter assertiveness
Overall: pretty good West coast IPA worthy of returning to if I could.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: black in color with a finger's worth of tan foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark coffee tones, dark chocolate, some baker's chocolate, earthiness and a touch of some caramel maltiness
Flavor: roasty and toasty initially then a kiss of sweet from the caramel tones at the very end; finishes coffee-ish and some ash
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, some smoothness but also some dryness
Overall: not a bad stout, as I think I could give this another shot if possible.

Can to thistle.
Appearance: copper to auburn-ish to brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy lace which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel to toffee sweetness, subtle smoke, light earthiness, some toasted nuts, subtle grassiness
Flavor: meshes those prior noted aromas together in a malty to smoky sweet sort of way; finishes malty sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sort of sessionability to this, very smooth along the tongue
Overall: not bad but where's the "peaty" character? Hmmmm...well, I believe I could still come back to if I could.

Some floral hops with tastes of caramel, orange marmalade and malt, which should be a good thing. Rather thin and disappointing nevertheless.

Bottle. Amber- brown in color. Not much head. Aroma was a light spicy and caramel smell. Taste was slightly sweet, dry fruit and spice.

On tap at le saint bock in montreal.
Dark amber/copper pour, with a sticky off white head. Aroma of super sticky pine resins, sweet malts, some caramels, and citrus marmalade. The mouth feel is thick and oily, with a soft carb. The finish is very bitter, loads of pine resins and soft citrus notes, with a solid amount of bready, sweet boozy malts. This is an old school american double ipa. Great stuff.

Light, creamy, roasty. Almost a silky mouthfeel. Loads of sweet roasted malts, cocoa, light coffee finish. An impressive stout. There is a crapload of flavor packed into this brew.
