At 3pm today I saw four Premier League games kick off simultaneously, and got paid to watch them too... not too shabby a day! This one isn't shabby either, a steady hoppy beer of the traditional ilk with developing fruit notes after an initial dominant hoppiness.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head; aroma of tropical fruit; sweet malty body with some stewed apricots and plums, then some caramel and a dry finish with a spicy bitterness.

Drinking this in a bird-free Wetherspoon garden complete with netting - mainly to stop the seagulls. Doesn't stop any potential bird dropping something this way though. Acorn do these single hop IPA's so well with plenty of strength but still allow it's hoppy character to come through. Deep tasting one.
