Description
Waterloo Beer is brewed with care in the Mont-Saint-Jean farm, the famous 'English Hospital' of the Battle of Waterloo. More than ever, this high-quality beer is a symbol of authenticity, craftsmanship and courage. In 1815, during the famous conflict, the troops were supplied with high-fermented beer that gave them strength and courage to face each other. Two centuries later, Anthony Martin is proud to revisit this moment in history by reviving the local beer quality, prepared strictly according to the original recipe: Waterloo – beer of bravery!

Bottle 0,33ltr: A charging British cavalry unit on the beer label, but this darkbrown ale is not so charging at all. Decent bitter taste and hints of caramel.

Klar brun med masse hvitt skum som blir liggende. Lukter belgisk gjær, urter og malt. Smaker malt og urter. Sterk men likevel lettdrikkelig.

15/VIII/24 - 33cl bottle, shared @ Bier Central (Gent), BB: 16/XI/24 10:29, L17-23136 (2024-736)
Clear orange blond beer, small creamy white irregular head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, lots of banana, yeasty, a little spicy, herbal touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, a bit malty, a little sourish, some citrus, banana. Aftertaste: bitter, hoppy, a bit grassy, spicy finish, dry ending, decent - and well to my surprise and must add!
