Half-pint, cask at Microbar. Shared with Finn. Off-white head over a deep dark brownish body, scattered lacing. Inviting roasted malty aromas, chocolate and bread. Tasty with impacts of nuts, earth, and chocolate. Mid-sweet, roasted finish. Pretty nice. (Manchester, 22.03.2024).

Half-pint, draught, shared with Finn at Smithfield Market Tavern (Blackjack). Good looking in the glass with its coal black body, stable beige head, and spotty lacing. Attractive aromas of smoothly roasted dark malts, earthy. Fine balanced taste of ripe citrus and chocolate malts, nicely roasted. Quite long tail with a malt-hoppy twist. Fine depth to it. Good drinking. (Manchester, 21.03.2024).

Cask @ Café Beermoth, Manchester. Slightly hazed dark amber with a creamy head. Bland red ale, with this style more evident in aroma than taste, the latter seemingly tasteless hops.
