A beer to fall in love with given it's Valentine's Day. Very dark amber-brown in colour, with a nicening head atop. Tasty dark malts are neither roasted, nor is it bitter, but a creamy aftertaste, evident in aroma too makes the difference. The American hops in here clearly have a positive impact too.

Can thanks to Stuu.
Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Off-white
Nose - chocolate and hazelnut, into praline.
Taste - more of the same. Some toffee too.
Palate - medium bodied, sweet then light drying on the finish.
Overall - quite luscious and does exactly what it says on the tin.

I live in a beautiful Wooded Pennine valley, so this beer name speaks to me! Hazy golden coloured collaboration brew. I noticed the carbonation a little too much in this one, but its tropical fruit notes in both aroma and taste, which are better in the former, are still worthwhile.

Can. Nose is sweet, malty.
Taste is sweet malty, slight orange and citrus, faintly spicy.
Very thin, very underwhelming

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, malt, light toffee, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not the most exciting beer I’ve ever had.

I completed the original Grand Theft Auto game, and that was a shocking city! Deeper west coast styling, taste, design, with a few tasty sugars available. Deep tasting, with a fair strength that transfers into body rather than impacting flavour.

I've said the name of this beer about my football team many times! Dark clear golden west coast styling, although quite bland tasting in this respect and others. Nothing bad though, easy with an underlying hoppy sweetness.

Flint Glass is used in lenses, unfittingly I drank this wearing contacts. Mildly hazed golden coloured. Steady west coast styling, but very drinkable. Has a hoppy-sweetness, but remains a crisp keg pour.

Cask at Crown, Stockport. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a sizable foamy cream head. There’s malts and honey in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet with a creamy texture. Flavour has malts, nuts, caramel and toffee. After a while some sharpness becomes evident and overall tangy leading to a dry and slightly spicy finish. This is decent – but it doesn’t have much of a lager characteristic.
