Pours a clear orange amber colour with a small tight foamy off white head. Aroma is toasted malt, caramel, a little fruit and spicy hops. A toasty malt taste, not too sweet, some caramel, citrus fruit and spicy flavours. A decent hop bitterness to finish.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Lemon, honey and malt in the aroma. Crisp taste with lemon, floral hops, biscuity malt and a hint of marmalade.

Bottle at home from Morrisons. A perfect cellar temperature and a good head with long-lasting lacing. The taste was malt, caramel and some bittering hops, but to me they were in almost perfect balance. I normally despise a caramel taste to beer, but this one worked because of the balance. A great mouthfeel from all the malt and a hell of a lot going on when you consider the low abv. I am a fan of well made low abv beers and this is a good one.

Half pour (cask) at York Tap. Medium amber with small creamy head, lots of lacing. Bready, malty aroma. Taste is also like dark bread, cask makes this silky smooth and delicious. Really sublime and superb.

Fra cask på Mr. Thomas's Chop House, Manchester. Gylden. Litt uklar. Tett filmskum. Tett teppelacing. Veldig lett krydderaroma. Smaken krydder - med en anelse eddik? Skuffende. Kanskje ikke i sin beste form.

Cask-conditioned at the Swan, York 22/4/2018. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Jammy fruits, some red berries, hedgerow hops, chewy malts and a pleasantly bitter finish. A good take on an English IPA.

Bottle at the inlaws, thanks to Roger, not had this for few years 28/04/18. Clear golden copper with a well presented lasting off white head. Nose is caramel, airy malts, light orange peel, mellow dark fruits, raisins. Taste comprises biscuit malt, caramel, orange peel, toasted grains, light breads, toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with balanced bitterness. Solid golden bitter.

4/4/2018. Cask at Reds, Dorking. Pours clear golden amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hop, fruit and flowers. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft to fine carbonation. Not bad.

Cask at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Vague doughy aroma. Pale gold - surprisingly, at least for me, it's quite hazy. Blotchy white head. After an IPA it seems lacking in flavour - light citrus with a malty backbone. Biscuity. Light-medium bodied but watery. Flat carbonation. Abrupt Finish. Perhaps not at its best. Refreshing enough on the bland side bitter.
