Description
In 1858 Timothy Taylor began brewing beer in Cook Lane in the West Riding town of Keighley. He clearly struck upon a successful formula for in 1863 he set up and built a larger brewery at Knowle Spring, where the company has remained ever since.
The superb spring water that wells up from deep under the Pennines is still used today to produce the country's best traditional cask ales.
The brewery remains in the Taylor family and is now the last independent brewery of its type left in West Yorkshire. This independence enables Taylors to survive as one of the few brewers still brewing true cask ales in the same way it has always done."Taylor's Taste" is achieved by using only the finest natural ingredients, taking pride in the brewing process and allowing full time for the ales to ferment and mature, thereby creating a unique family of beers.
We have come a long way since 1858. Our beers have won many awards and worldwide acclaim. This is seen within our product range.

Tap Out 3 Times Beer#3. Visiting three new Taps today and Tim Taylor's flagship is first, and have chosen their one keg ale available there. A lightly carbonated crisp hopped effort in its own glass. There's lovely tropical undertones, and on the hot day drinking I'm partaking it on, is perfect for it.

Easy drinking cask ale with grainy, bready malt and a decent grassy, herbal hops bite.

Captain’s Bar in Edinburgh - clear gold pour, thin white head. Smells of biscuity malt and a touch of herbal hops. The flavor is malty and biscuity with a very lightly bitter herbal hop finish. Smooth and light bodied. Okay.

Cask at The New Clarence, Hull. Aroma has sweet fruit and honey but all low key. Opaque copper gold. Foamy off-white head. Light bitter with lighter sour edge. Underlying sweet malts essentially become prominent. Light. Thin. Soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Incredibly low key dull stuff. No interest in finishing this half. So I didn’t amd the barmaid commuted that she thought TT's beers were rubbish as well.

What a scoop! Picked it up at a pub near the office when out with colleagues post work. Not a bad drop, easygoing malts, fresh bread, soft leafy bitterness. Nicely rounded. Nips of citrus. Highly drinkable.
