Bottle: light golden colour with a minimal white head, and slight carbonation; earthy, hoppy aroma; light citrus hop flavours, slightly tingling in the mouth; leaving a dry finish. Not bad!

330ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pours a drak reddy/brown colour with good sized off white head. Very interesting and tasty beer some pleasant soft maltiness but with fruit and hints of a bitter dark chocolateness. Really enjoyed this.

330ml bottle from Sainsbury’s. Beautiful deep ruby colour, lasting thick tan head. Coffee aroma, bit of powder, some dark fruits (plums). Soft in mouth, more fruity choc/coffee. Good fresh plum flavour. Very faint hop. Nice dark lager, very drinkable. Bit of ashtray on finish.

Bottle, Golden beer with a small bubbly head, citrusy hoppy aroma, this was replicated in the taste which was fine but hardly exciting, softened towards the finish with some bitterness.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury. Golden, no head. Hoppy aroma. Resiny Challenger, fragrant Hersbrucher. Some biscuity malt. Too fizzy in mouth, not a huge flavour in mouth. Citrus hops on end. Little if any malt character. Very clean. Nice citrus hop finish. Pleasant if not earth shattering.

Can. Had this courtesy of a friend whilst at Towersey Festival, even though I’ve had this before it was a bit of a blast from the past, Sainsburys have been churning this one out for years now. Some fruit on the nose, smells and tastes a little bit better than the normal stuff, still a bit metallicy but I’ve never been keen on beers in cans.

Can. Had this courtesy of a friend whilst at Towersey Festival. Tastes a bit metallic, slightly toffeeish flavour, not great at all but then I’ve had much worse.

Bottled. Clear, golden with a dense, white head. Malty aroma with some fruityness and alcohol. Alcohol-saturated flavor with malt, fruity hops and thats it. Seems like the ABV is the goal with this beer, but it shouldn’t be necassary to let it be this pronounced. Warming and medium to thin mouthfeel, and the alcohol comes through in the finish as well. Drinkable but not too successful. (060815)

Bottle. Sour apple aroma. Light golden yellow color. Sour apple flavor - slight dryness only. Pretty much an average chain cider.
