Description
Originally from Sainte-Croix en Plain, the Alsatian Sainte Crucienne brewery first saw the light of day in 2007 during a boozy evening, thanks to a band of idealistic friends eager to create different and very hoppy beers. At the start of their adventure, they started by brewing 20 liters of beers, then 100, then 600. It was not until 2013 that the brewery officially started in its premises in Colmar, in just three years the volume of production has doubled to reach 3000 hl today.
They share this success with a whole community of independent brewers who are part of the Front Hexagonal de Libièration, with whom they continue to work. The goal is to multiply collaborations and unique brews to create an ever more original beer in taste and participate in the revolution of the world of craft beers.

Bottle shared. Almostblack with tan head. Lots of caramel, brown sugar, milk chocolate, earthy. Not much hazelnuts, more caramel and vanilla. Quite sweet, dry bitter finish. Full bodied. OK but a bit too much caramel and a bit unbalanced.

Bottle from Geers. Hazy dark orange, small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit peel, onion, blood orange, biscuit, ripe mango, paprika. Taste has sweetish mango & orange; bitter core of grapefruit peel, citrus, pine & onion; tad biscuity. Piney hoppy finish, resinous, quite bitter, grapefruity yet weirdly spicy too. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not bad but spiciness feels out of place.

Can shared. Crisp malts, bread crust, spicy and grassy hops, mineral, soft floral. Under medium sweet, medium bitter. Over light bodied. Maybe not amazing, but a tasty pilsener.

Can shared. Hazy yellow golden, almost no head. Passionfruit, guava, orange, peach, mango, lime, wheat, kettle sour notes. Under medium sweet and sour. Over light bodied. Tons of fruit, but not like a smoothie and still tastes like beer. Good.

opalescent golden colour, large, dense yellowish ecru head; aroma of grapefruit, orange peel oils, pineapple, litchi and tangerine, as well as moderate grape peel notes; taste is quite hop-dominant-bittery with the same fruitiness as can be felt in the aroma and some biscuity notes; good IPA

extremely hazy pale yellow colour, huge, not too dense white head; aroma of orange juice, earthy-yeasty, moldy, grape peel and juice, as well as floral notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with some hoppy bitterness and definite horseradish-like spiciness; dry mouthfeel; good one
