250ml bottle into tulip (as Ackerland Bière de Noël). From ALDI, Riverwood. Still golden beer with foamy white head. Nice lacing. Nose of dark fruit and malt. Full smooth mouthfeel. Finish is dark fruit, smoky caramel and dried orange. Nice, very drinkable Christmas beer.

Bottle, Aldi. As Ackerland Bière de Noël. Cold. Amber with a fading white head. Aroma of biscuit, orange, Christmas spices (ginger, nutmeg &c). Decent body, modest carbonation. Sweet but with spices and enough bitterness coming up quickly to meet the barely rich malt. Dryish at the end. I didn't mind this at all.

Bottle, 25cl . Green glass ( oh gawd why ? ) Pours clear blonde, slightly darker dan most other commercial pale lagers. Small white head fades instantly. Smell is malty, sweet. Taste is bitter ( but not hoppy, just clinical bitterness ) Oxidation ( the bottle still has about 1.5 months on it, but tastes to old anyway. probably stored to warm by the webshop ? ) thin body, medium high carbo. Ok at best.

Bottle from E.Leclerc Reims-Champfleury, from a six-pack. Hazy pale golden, a bit darker than expected. Wheaty and yeasty with nice fruity flavours and a pleasant hoppy touch coming from the Cascade hops. Good summer bière.

Schlechtes Bier. In einer Hotelbar in Straßburg gezapft getrunken. Viel zu süß in Aroma und Geschmack. Irgendwo in der süßen Suppe schmeckt man Getreide und einen sauren Unterton.
