Schöne Bernsteinfarbe und süßlich-würziger Geruch. Der Antrunk ist süßlich-würzig, ganz leicht herb. Zum Hauptteil hin wird das Bier milder, leicht würzig-süßlich, aber schon fast zu süßlich. Die 6,8% machen sich höchstens in der typischen Süße bemerkbar, sonst aber nicht. Der Nachgeschmack ist süßlich-herb in angenehm mild.

250ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, diminishing, white head. Slightly artificial lemon aroma, ascorbic acid, cautious hints of wheat malt. Taste is more lemonade than beer, artificial hints of lemon, slightly sugary, cautious herbal-spicy overtones in the finish. Effrontery.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear pale gold, long-lasting white head, steady stream of bubbles. Looks very nice in fact. Light grassy aromas, not much else. Taste is light bitter. Thin body, clean finish. Not bad.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlichem Schaum. Geruch leicht hefig, leicht fruchtig, Gewürze. Geschmack hefig würzig, leicht fruchtig.

Bottle, 6.1% as Patrimoine gourmand blonde d’alsace pur malt. Bar code 3257981083257. Buttery aroma, hint of rough macro lager. Clear golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour also starts off a little buttery, but not as nasty as I feared after smelling it. It has a slightly rough hop bitterness and a quite sweet aroma hoppiness which is also slightly spicy.

25cl bottle: part of a six pack bought at a French supermarket in Calais. Poured into a Chimay chalice on 23 Feb 14. Looks lager/pilsner like: clear, deep golden hue to the clean body, the head a thin wisp from the start and just a collar after 10 seconds. The aroma is semi-sweet grainy: the taste very similar with just about enough flavour to hide the alcohol. It lacks depth and character but it isn’t a bad beer, just a little one dimensional and not really my thing even though I prefer malty and sweet beers. Scored objectively.
