Bottle from Cerveteca Lisboa. It pours very lightly hazy amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is soft, juicy, fresh pine, peach, apricot and tinned pineapple. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, fresh piney action, lemon sherbets, grapefruit rind, touch of soap, varnish, brown bread, cereal, toasty grain and a touch of pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A pretty alright APA.

Bottle from Cerveteca Lisboa, it pours cloudy gold with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, wheat, doughy, sweet banana, candy and marshmallow. The taste is bitter-sweet, ripe banana, spice, creamy malt, wheat, orange rind and candy with a dry finish. Medium body and fairly high carbonation. A touch sweet perhaps. Reasonable Hefeweizen.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guildelines (style 14A, adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L050314. AROMA: very nice hop aroma with notes of mango and passionfruit. Mild background of roasted notes. APPEARANCE: dark brown color and almost opaque. medium beige head with good retention. TASTE: initial hop flavours with notes of mango and some passionfruit that transforms into roasted notes. medium-high bitterness that persists beyond a semi-dry and roasted finish. PALATE: medium-light body with moderate carbonation. OVERALL: a very good black IPA, with balance towards the hop aromas and flavours, putting in the background the roasted character.
