473mL can, pours a dark rose red with a small white head. Aroma has a nice grape mustiness, wild yeast, and some oakiness. Flavour is full of musty grape skins, wild yeast, and just a touch of residual sweetness. Real nice beer/wine hybrid – great grape skin character.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 26/07/22; bb 26/07/28). Lightly hazed ruby red with small white head. Vinous, on par with other Betta series entries, light oak, decent.

Pale purplish-red, slight haze. No head. Vinous aroma. Light body, slight tartness, wheaty, vinous. Decent complexity. A slight sweetness to it, in the finish.

473ml can [at 11.5% abv]. Jet black colour with huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly peppery spicy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, dry cocoa, hints of fudge, toffee, a touch of chili, very weak, oaky overtones. Taste is initially sweet-ish, chocolately, roasty, dark malty and caramel malty, only minimally spicy, notes of dark chocolate, caramel, some toffee, a touch of treacle and liquorice, later more and more peppery spicy, notes of chili with increasing and accumulating pungency; dirty, earthy and woody interludes once in a while. Creamy to viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, little by little also slightly pungent palate, fine, soft, creamy carbonation. Fairly rich and complex, quite spicy but not overdone, sadly the dark malt flavours are partly of lower quality (not directly malt quality, but the toffee and chocolate flavours are a tad chintzy somehow) - quite acceptable.

Poured from 473mL can. Deep ruby red with minimal pink-ish white head. Nice wood and vinous notes, my favourite of the Betta series thus far. Like the Dageraad Enology series.

Purple, bright, that syrah is all over this. Significant syrah aroma. On the palate, light tartness, mellow vinous character. A slight woody note. It's relatively light of body, but a ton of grape.
