Canned 09/2025, so not too fresh... (4 months). Hazy golden colour, small white head. Light citrus and fruits in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Pale malty, citrus, light breadyness. Solid but basic. And yes, I've visited (and eat) at "Automatic for the People" restaurant.

Pine, grapefruit and a little rust. Nice hoppy red. Pours orange amber with pretty good head and lacing. Bitter end. A little lemon in the finish. Caramel, orange peel. Can.

Little bit of a miss here, lacking the firm roasted bitterness on the back end that defines exceptional black IPAs. Has notes of unsweetened chocolate up against bright citric hops and a touch of pine, but never quite develops the complexity you want from the style. Good, not great.
