Bottle, at Haandbryggeriet. A clear brown beer with almost no head. Dried fruits, caramel, bread crust and a touch of alcohol in the aroma. Some cocoa too. It's full bodied, very lightly warming. Caramel, dried fruits, bread and some alcohol in the flavor. Lasting finish. Not the most complex beer I've had but sure nice. 191214

Pours very dark brown, clear, nearly black. No head. Smell Is intense, maple and booze take the upper hand. Mild coffee and bourbon. Taste is full, very boozy ( too boozy, making it a bit like cleaning alcohol to me), yet very supported by maple basew dark chocolate, mild coffee. Hidden bourbon notes. Mouthfeel is relatively low for the abv and such, but still medium thick if you compare to beer in general. Carbonation is medium low. Alcohol sticks around, very warming back. It's fun to make extreme beers, I get that, but this would benefit from a more sane alcohol level. Now it's the beer's biggest handicap.
