3/XII/17 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2017-2136) Thanks to the Belgian, Dutch and German ratebeerians for sharing today's beers!

Clear blond beer, solid creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, bit fruity, grassy. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: hoppy, bitter, grains, fruity, bit metallic, not exactly how I would expect an ipa, but ok, decent enough beer.

Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque black color. Aroma clearly is Imperial Stout with cocoa and strawberries. Not much brandy though. Flavor is malts, dark malts, cocoa, strawberries and lightly bandy but it could've used a little more bandy imo. Not too much more though to prevent it from becoming boozy but a little more clearly brandy coming through would've been even better I think. Quite interesting and nice though.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange with a huge head. Smells and tastes hops, resin, pine, malty, like a light barleywine. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Bottle. Color: Amber, big frothy off-white head. Taste: Mostly grassy and floral hops, some citrus hop too. Mix of medium sweet and hopbitter notes, far above average carbonation. Tropical hints of pines and some lightly soapy hints. Less bitter than expected from a DIPA. The high carbonation ruins a lot of the mouthfeel. Far from the top of imperial IPA’s.
