Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a tiny, off-white head. Nose is herbal and medicinal, cough syrupish - and boozy. Body is rich, but not rich enough to sustain 20% alcohol and the beer is flat. Sweet caramel, again medicinal and slightly chemical with an extremely boozy finish. More like a Brandy than a beer. And more a gimmick than a real pleasure. Drinkability is close to zero, but at least you get wasted drinking this. 220916

Hazy pale golden color with a minimal and quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is citrusy with spicy notes, sourish. Flavor has a good sourness, light yeasty, wheaty notes and lemony hints. Fruity final with good sorness on palate.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Clear, very deep red with a beige head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, honey, vanilla and raisins. Sweet, malty and alcoholic taste of caramel, honey, vanilla and lots of booze, followed by a long, slightly bitter, very warming and alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Don’t like it, hardly drinkable, too much alcohol.

Thx! to Benzai. 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG V. Dark amber brown with only a few bubbles. Nose is big sweet alcoholic syrup, amber, caramel, lightly metallic, malt syrup, quite boozy,… Taste is strongly alcoholic & it builds, burn lingers, feels stronger than 20 % ABV. Other than that its malt syrup, syrupy, little carbonation, prunes, big sugar malty, low cough syrup,… I actually partially enjoyed big sweet malts syrup, light oxidation, caramel, prunes,… Big alcohol burn. I partially enjoyed it even though I should know better (or not).

Hazy brownish beer, practically no head. Aroma: sweet, caramel, dried fruits, milk chocolate, bit malty. MF: soft to no carbon, full body. Taste: sweet start, sugary, caramel, lots of alcohol, chocolate, rather unpleasant. Aftertaste: alcohol and more alcohol, little sour, sugary, medicinal, oh... and alcohol. Meh.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Max & Stas. Brown. Aroma of honey, caramel, a bit of vanilla, some dark fruits, a bit of bubblegum, and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor, a bit boozy, with honey, caramel, fruitiness, a bit of rum, and a bit of vanilla. A bit over the top, but decent. Alcohol is pretty well-concealed.
