Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, red apple, melon, peppercorn, clove, light banana, honey, white bread dough, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, honey, bready malt, light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, red apple, melon, peppercorn, clove, light banana, honey, white bread dough, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, red apple, melon, peppercorn, clove, light banana, honey, white bread dough, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, honey, bready malt, light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent Belgian pale ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, honey, bready malt, light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Perfectly balanced yeast, malts, and honey flavors; with solid earthy hop presence. The yeast character reminds me a lot of Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, so I am not surprised; seeing as Garret helped them make this beer. Might be the same strain. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Taste of big lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is a excellent German pilsener! All around great robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Perfectly balanced clean pils malts and earthy hop flavors. A little more citrusy than I expected on the hops; but a very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example regardless.
