Hazy golden with a full white head. Full bodied. Citrus and sweet malt profile. The bread malt profile softens the hop bite quite a bit. Finish is slightly bitter with sweet malt. A decent offering.

Bottle thanks to Bryan. Pours a jet black color with a medium white head. A big sweet fruity whiskey nose. The flavor is big sweet licorice, chocolate, whiskey. Huge whiskey. Vanilla.

Pours with slight haze, amber. Huge head at first, comes down with nice lacings. Aroma is probably the best part of this beer, nicely fruity. strawberries and melon. Grainy malt character coming out too. Taste is maybe too grainy to qualify as a great IPA in my book. Bitterness is there but comes out very unbalanced, feels a bit rough and too many edges for my taste.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy copper with a large white head. A big sweet fruity pebble nose. The flavor is sweet toasted malt, caramel, fruity. Smooth. Decent. Quite light.

On tap at Loyal Legion, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of piney hops and resins, along with caramel malt. Flavour is very juicy and resinous in the hop department, with loads of resins and piney, followed by tropical fruits. Dry resinous finish. Excellent.

Coalition Brewing Co.'s Loving Cup Maple Porter 5.5% As a Montrealer, the Sugar Shack is a big part of spring so I saved this for the start of Spring. Nutty aroma, kind of cardboard texture and the flavor is meh. Coalition disappoints me and what a let down. Oh well, happy spring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft 12 Oz pour at Toronado. Rating #1996. The year of my favorite Soundgarden album, Down On The Upside. Though far from everyone else’s favorite, it’s mine. Pours a darker reddish orange with a quick fade head. Sweet fruit and Brett aroma. Flavor is sweet pear, dominant apple, soft brett, and a dry, winish finish. Multi layered wild ale here, with a ton of flavor. Very unique, interesting, tasty beer.

Tap at BCS. Clearish copper brown with no head. Caramel notes with some grass hops on the nose. Medium bitterness on the palate with some light chocolate and caramel in the background. Finish is slightly bitter. Probably the best of the Oregon Beer Geeks beers today (outside of Cascade of course) at BCS. Not a bad amber at all.
