Description
The Eagle Brewery was previously a Charles Wells brewery site and became part of Marston's (Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company) wider business in May 2017. The Eagle Brewery continued to brew many of the former Charles Wells brewery brands sold to Marston's including brands such as Bombardier, Courage, and McEwan's.
The Eagle Brewery was later sold by the Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) to S.A. Damm (Grupo Damm) in November 2022, though Eagle brands remain with Marstons.

Strong plum aroma, also some cinnamon notes. Nice dark mahagoni color, head that befits the style. Fruity, spicy and full. Some nut flavors in the end together with a zing of hoppy bitterness.

Pours exactly like any widgeted pint. Smells like a nice ale and has a great black colour with a light tan head. Great strong starting taste. Somewhat sweet and heavy body! A fuller tasting guiness!

A beutiful chestnut brown beer with a fine ligth brown head. The aroma is dominated by banana. The flavor is first banana, then malt sweet, then back to banana, then a nice bitterness, and ending on a long lingering banana note. A great balance and a great complexity in the flavor. A fine and very special beer.

An easy drinking beer, slightly undercarbonated. Seemed a bit underhopped for a bitter

Bisquit aroma. Redbrown with a rocky head. Maltish notes, thin finish. Pleasant, but as so many have noted (and the style indicates)not an IPA.
