Description
The Eagle Brewery was previously a Charles Wells brewery site and became part of Marston's (Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company) wider business in May 2017. The Eagle Brewery continued to brew many of the former Charles Wells brewery brands sold to Marston's including brands such as Bombardier, Courage, and McEwan's.

The Eagle Brewery was later sold by the Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) to S.A. Damm (Grupo Damm) in November 2022, though Eagle brands remain with Marstons.

My 2$ 17 ounce can (with same label pictured here) from chalet premier says its brewed by Carlsberg Marston Brewing Woverhamptn UK. Pour is deep brownish orange darker pale. Nice big head that fades after a few minutes. Sweeter aged old pale lager nose, date code is june 2025. Yep, taste is sortah the same, reminds me of an old case of macro pale lager that aged for a couple of years. Not bad, just a little difficult to deal with. In the middle maybe some shades of odd candy in there like a vienna, not sure. As I approach the end, I think I may be getting a slight warming sensation? No way. Would like to try this fresh cold on tap and see what it really tastes like. Not impressed but hey, there you have it.

Ayrshire Coastal Walking Mini Break Beer#22. Re-rate of a traditional tasting Scottish brew, I've had it in both cask and probably bottle before. Good-looking deeper clear golden keg version this time around in a great little pub in Ayr.

Bottles. Clear amber/brown body with an off-white head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of toffee, rusted metal, cigar, burnt sugar and wood. Flavour of nuts, rust, toffee apple, raisin, treacle and prune - there’s a slight (not unpleasant) sourness that underpins it all. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft carbonation. A decent beer - at a good price too.
