Deschutes looks to be getting in the 19.2 oz convenience store single can business. Give the market what people want to buy these days it appears. No problem to me. The stovepipe can I have came from a QT convenience store in the area near the stadium where the Texas Rangers play baseball, brought it home to sample. Severely chilled in a bucket of ice water, I open the can and pour a touch into a small clear glass. Basically clear in color, certainly no strawberry influence here. There is a strawberry smell and citrus too if I try really hard. The taste is actually pretty good in the universe of malt liquors. Strawberry certainly and I get more lime than I do lemon. Still citrus in any case. A beer that is easy to drink. Not overly sweet, tastes similar to a strawberry margarita and there is the 8% abv to show itself later.

Panda from Colin. Ta. Clear copper gold. Thick foamy white head. Aroma is big and fruity - sweet with a sour edge. Flavourwise it's equally fruity- again quite sweet with a sour edge. Underlying malts. Develops a spice infused bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. I want to enjoy this more... but the particular range of fruit flavours are a bit much for me.... not a beer that is slipping down.

Light body, roasty flavors, hints of chocolate. One of the better non alcoholic stouts / porters.
