$2.00 bottle, Beer Run. Pours pale gold, dusting of a white head. Aroma is apple, light ginger, dust. Flavor is sweet apple - very sweet overall, very light ginger - mainly in the finish. Prickly lively carbonation. Long finish; the ginger/turmeric burns down the throat for a bit. Surprisingly, I'm enjoying this one a lot more than I thought I would.

12oz bottle from Tasty Beverage in Asheville. Poured into One of those nice plastics pint glasses that you can only tell with a good hard look. Orangina pulp at the bottom got a good stir. Smell is bittersweet & genuine orange juice & browned apples. Less vibrant orange soda look. Pours a little flat. Taste is yeasty cider awash with Candy sweet orange & orange zest. Boiled down orange juice? Makes the subpar cider much better, but it still comes off as half flat soda. Syrupy, candy-ish, sticky. Tanic apples do come through, but they’re not much fun besides that. I guess Basically soda.

Tall boy from Tasty Beverage in Asheville. Probably fermented/skimmed off the river near their North Carolina facility. Anywho, Ommegang anniversary glass. Clear, pale yellow, slightly fizzy but not enough to be confused with a $4 bottle of sparkling wine. Smell is of faded apricot hops & boxed Juicy Juice. Taste is canned fruit cocktail in syrup, truthfully. I taste the pineapple & the peach & the half a cup of white sugar. Aside from something tarragon-like upfront, the hops are gone. Why does the can say “dry”? Even cold, this is awefully hard to drink. Who drinks this on the regular that doesn’t have diabetes?

Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured a pale pink color with a small foamy white head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was dry and musty with a hint of berry and apple. The flavor was dryish and musty with apple peel and a hint of leather. Medium length finish. Light body.

1 pint can. Sparkling very pale yellow-gold colour, short-lived white foam head and floral citric hop aroma. Taste is crisp, fruity apple, sweetish, melon, white wine, with resiny citrus hop notes. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry finish. Nicely drinkable hopped cider.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish pink with a finger of foam that lingers. Berry forward nose with some cherry and floral apple blossom notes. Light and sweet-tart like on the palate. Some mineral notes on the finish with light berry tartness that lingers. Thin bodied. Not bad.

Apple, toejam, berry nose. Clear pink. Apple, bubble gum, candied violets, not super sweet. Light body, easy carbonation. Pretty darn good.
