At the DC Craft Beer Festival. Poured a very pale light yellow-green color, clear, virtually no head. Aroma was a lot of sweet apples, crispness. Not too sweet, but not too dry. Easy to drink. Actually quite enjoyable to me.

750 mL bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a clear pale golden color with a medium sized foamy white head. Good retention for a cider. Aroma of mildly sweet apples with a faint vegetal/herbaceous notes. Tart apple taste, faint hints of vanilla and earth. Medium bodied. Fairly simple, fairly dry, decently drinkable.

Dry apple aroma, hints of olive and soap. Crystal clear pale yellow, some carbonation. Semi-sweet apple flavor, tart, less fresh than the non-premium offering from this cidery. A touch of olive in the finish. Balanced, soft carbonation. Not bad, but for the price paid it should be much better.

Picked this up at a grocery store in Nellysford, just down the street from the cidery - we were going to hit up the place but missed it by about an hour. Poured a light, pale green-yellow color with almost no head to speak of. Aroma was some tart apple. Flavor was light apple flavors. A little dry, touch of sweetness in there too. Decent.

Clear golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall white head and zillions of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of pale malt, apples, grapes and a hint of yeast - not great, but decent. Light-bodied; Nice crisp apple notes with a lot of sugars, some alcohol flavours and a good pale and fragrant apple and pear note to the flavour. Aftertaste shows a slightly herbal and grassy finish, but the apples (granny smith or gala) show some good qualities and a pleasant finishing sweetness. Overall, a nice cider that is made from local grapes and supports the local economy - sounds great to me. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Falls Church (Bailey’s Crossroads) on 17-November-2012 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 23-November-2012.

750 mL bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a large fizzy white head. Decent head retention for a cider, but it does fade quickly. Aroma of tart, dry apples, sweet apples, grainy pear and the faintest tannic note. The taste is pretty sweet and syrupy apples with a dry lightly tannic finish. Medium bodied with a lingering tartness. Strong effervescence. Decent.

Location: Draft at the Blue Mountain, 11/21/12
Aroma: It has a sweet apple juice nose, and really nothing else
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a small head and light white lace
Flavor: Just like the nose, the flavor is all apple juice and rather sweet
Palate: The body of this one is light, and there’s some average carbonation to it as well
Overall Impression: I wasn’t a big fan, it was too sweet for me.
