Description
Outer Range Brewing is a community-driven microbrewery in the small mountain town of Frisco, Colorado. Co-founder and Head Brewer Lee Cleghorn’s love of craft beer began when he lived in Belgium as a teenager, where the first beers he ever drank were world-class Belgian ales. That background has served as inspiration for his IPAs, which showcase the ester profile of these traditionally hop-forward beers. A graduate of the American Brewers Guild Brewing Science and Engineering school in Vermont, Lee runs Outer Range with his wife and co-founder Emily, who is the Chief Marketing Officer and leads the brewery’s branding, marketing, and sales efforts. They met while homebrewing beer together ten years ago, and today, brew for and with a passionate community who lives at the intersection of craft beer and the outdoor mountain lifestyle.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Grapefruit aroma. Pineapple husk. Lemonade. Taste is bitter the whole way through. Mildly citric. Finishes dry and bitter with a touch of resin. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, mildly refreshing. West Coast IPA quite true to the style.

Can (11/3/25) from CBC Westford. Deeply hazy yellow, light sparkle, decent head with good retention, tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is strong, dank pine over later, milder citrus & grapefruit. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, creamy texture, average carbonation and dry, crisp, finish as taste. Boy, the Columbus really dominates here. Was thinking with the Mosaic and Cryo this might be East meets West but this is Traditional/West dominant, for sure. It appears European version (44cl) has "Hazy India Pale Ale" on the label whereas American version just has "India Pale Ale." Definitely more the latter.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: mellow orange to yellow toned with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light clingy lace.
Aroma: sweet hay, light funk, sweet grass, white pepper, light pear notes, subtle lemon, slighter notes of lemongrass
Flavor: melds all the prior noted aromas together in a semi-earthy to rustic funky sweetness; finishes semi-crisp with earthy to peppery spices and those pears
Texture: between light and medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; nice clean smoothness along the tongue without the white pepper bothering it as I thought that was going to happen but didn't (kudos to the brewer)
Overall: a very nicely done saison I hope someday I would like to have again.
Thanks Steve G.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: cardboard yellow haziness with a finger and a quarter's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely and left some clingy lace to the glass.
Aroma: light pear-like hops, sweet grassy hops, white grape-y hops and some citrusy hoppiness running into some superb clean malts
Flavor: blends all those prior aromas together in a very beautiful bittersweet juicy way; finishes with the pears and white grapes
Texture: medium bodied, between being a sipper and sessionable; smooth creaminess on the tongue
Overall: what an absolutely awesome NEDIPA. Thanks again Steve! You rock!

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: yellowed cardboard haziness with a finger and a quarter foamy head that took it's time to dissipate. Once it did, light lace clung to the glass.
Aroma: soft juicy citrusy tones and apricot hoppy vibes, clean malts
Flavor: beautiful blend of the prior noted aromas which come across a pure bittersweet juicy taste. Finishes cleanly through the juicy soft and apricot soft hoppiness
Texture: medium bodied, soft along the tongue with nothing sticky and nothing harsh
Overall: this is some high level / high quality stuff, man oh man. Would I want this again or what! Wowweee!

Can (10/28/25) from CBC, Westford. Cloudy yellow, light sparkle, ample head with excellent retention, nice lacing. Aroma is strong musky and cooking herb. Taste is strong white grape, hints of herb mixed with biscuit and sparkling wine. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation, dry, yeasty, grape finish with mild bitterness. Fortunately, taste is more white grape than herbal Nelson.

Aromas are citrus, resin, malt and nothing special. Flavors are much better than nose, adding in tropical fruit with good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Just right body. Finish is bittersweet and leans towards the tropical fruit. Good stuff.
