Description
The Roue Libre Brewery is the fruit of the passion of a solid team of happy Strasbourg brewers. After having participated for many years in the development of famous Alsatian micro-breweries, and having learned so much there, David and Stéphane get closer and decide to found together a rather special micro-brewery: a Brewpub! This small English-speaking name designates a warm place in which the activities of artisanal micro-breweries and beer bistros blend perfectly. Beer is our passion, brewing our motivation. Brewed and served on draft in a unique place where the brewing and cycling arts come together in every corner.

28/XII/24 - on tap @ Roue Libre brasserie (Strasbourg), BB: n/a (2024-1343)
Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy solid beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, good roast, some alcohol, dried fruits, raisins, figs. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sweet, lots of dried fruits, raisins, dates, soft roast, some alcohol, a bit malty. Aftertaste: sweet touch, some chocolate, gentle roast, alcohol, bitter touch, coffee, dried fruits, meh. Ok, but not very convincing.

Clear reddish to rust brown beer, small creamy off-white to beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: floral, fruity, some lavender. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very watery start, fruity, some red currants, bitter, a little spicy, sourish touch. Aftertaste: oranges, some orange peel, pretty bitter, dry, a bit earthy, some tannins, not getting any of that supposed tonka in this beer?

Little cloudy yellow to light gold beer, small creamy white head, little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: some tropical fruits, juicy, pleasant, some oranges, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: a bit sourish, lemony, a bit fruity, gentle bitterness, floral touch. Aftertaste: a little dank, some tropical fruits, a bit of caramel malts, orange peel, a bitter touch, ok but not great.
