Location: Draft at Mission Dolores, 9/8/12
Aroma: This one has a nose of caramel, bread, nuts, and toffee
Appearance: It pours a clear dark orange color, coating white head/lace
Flavor: The taste of this one is medium sweet, mostly malt, and has a light spice hop
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a tingly feel, and a mildly dry finish to it
Overall Impression: This one was a solid amd drinkable ESB with a enough of a hop backing to provide some balance to this malt-heavy beer.

On cask at the stags head. Pours cloudy plum brown with thin head. Aromas of dark fruit and yeast. Tastes of plums, yeast, tobacco, wood, earth, and raisin. Seemed decent but I’d like to try again not on cask as the added carbonation may lift this up

Finally a mild ale rating. Pours brown with almost no head and maybe light malt and toast on nose. Tastes of malt, very light floral hops, toast, and maybe vegetable. Very subdued and a touch soapy. Reminds me of something out of a British pub but not many other warm fuzzy feelings

Tap at the Stagshead. Pours hazy gold with white head and citrus nose. Tastes of grapefruit, earth, herbs, grains, leaves, and light toast. Plenty bitter and refreshing. Great summertime pale ale if I had an outdoor space I’d be grilling while sipping on this for sure
