Smell- medium strong, malt, herbal, peppermint, cherry, fruits, interesting. Foam- kind of thin, herbal, malt and bit of weirdness notes in foam. Head is medium, medium-dark, brown white color. Appearance- very nice bottle brewer cap, and somewhat interesting bottle design. But I love this cap. Very dark brown color, almost black, no visible carbonation, maybe very few bubbles. From - stout glass Taste - malt, cherry, acidic notes, mint, roast. Some sweetness, but the mix is not too well put together, its ok, but it does not pop. It seems like an ok idea but implemented in a mediocre way.

33cl bottle (as Alķīmiķis Saison) from Stockmann, Riga. Pours slightly hazy golden with a modest, dissipating, white head. Fruity and slightly perfumy with spicy and yeasty notes. Moderate sweet with mild, but pleasant saison flavours. Quite enjoyable.

33cl bottle (as Alķīmiķis Pale Ale) at Street Burger, Riga. Pours clear amber with a modest, off-white head. Malty and mild hoppy with notes of ripe fruits and hints of herbs. Medium sweet with rather low flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Fair enough.

0,33l bottle from Lauvas Alus, Riga. Almost black beer with good but quite quickly vanishing head. Aroma is weird. It has some apple and blackberries but also some sour, funky and earthy notes. Flavor is sour and tart with blackberries and funky notes. Still weird.

12/10/2019. Bottle from Lauvas Alus, Riga. Pours black with a large fluffy/foamy long lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma of hops, milk chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, light pine, dark fruit and coffee. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, above average carbonation. Pretty decent apart from the level of fizz, but it calmed down and became better.

On tap at Alkimikis, Riga Pours an orangey brown colour with no discernible head. The nose has cranberries mixed up with bananas. In the mouth it is nicely spiced with black bepper and cloves. Finish is sweeter than expected – the bananas are back ! Nice but a bit spicy to be a proper saison.
