Tap at Molto. Opaque gold with a pungent fruity orange and stone fruit but it also has a bit of a floral underlying edge. Medium bodied with a bit of malt texture and sweetness while the flavor matches the aroma well. This is really tasty and one of the better fresh hop beers Iโve had in Japan. 2020 Review: Sankt Gallen Fresh Hop IPA Iโve never been all that impressed with fresh hop beers, I guess I need to go to the PNW during the harvest someday... This is made with Kaikogane (I guess this is the fresh hop? Domestic variety I never heard of), Vic Secret, Galaxy, Simcoe. Matte brass in color with a big fresh piney aroma at first then after warming up you got caramel. This is VERY BITTER pine bark, twigs, needles. Some old caramel notes but nothing fruity. Very much old type west coast ipa. This went from 3.7 down to 3.2

330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with light beer foam. Nose has a bit of roast, chocolaty, some sour edge. Taste is sour as well, some spices, robust roast and light citrus. High carbonation, sour and berries covered with chocolate dust. Again, infected but actually taste is kind of OK as a sour beer.

Bottle (thanks jinroh). Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, fruits. Flavor is sour and bitter, orange, roast, oatmeal. Finish is roasty and orangy. Overall: good.

Brown our, some light foamy head, stays. Nose has dry cocoa, chocolate, light fruity, mainly tart. Taste is sour, light roast, fruity but a bit too sour, dry. Somewhat flawed probably, other than that, does not work to well.

Taster at Takumiya. Pretty cloudy yellow-orange, thick. Nose is mango, orange juice, tropical, creamy. Flavor is acidic, slightly astringent mango, orange juice, wheat, and rather sweet. Decent enough for the style, nothing really wrong, but too sweet and heavy to drink a whole pint.

Bottle from Department store, Mito, Ibaraki, Japan. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, malty, caramel on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, malty, caramel. Nice one.
