Orange with a medium white head. Aroma is citrus, lightly sweet, some pine. Medium body. Flavor is nice bright fruits, light pine, enough sweet malts to add some complexity but not drown the hop bitterness. really refreshing IPA and one I’d like to see in front of me more often.

Pours mahogany-tinged black into a Sam glass. Pancake head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Juniper and chocolate aromas. Thin with sweet chocolate upfront turning slightly metallic in the lasting bitter espresso finish.

Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a muddy brown glow and a thin, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright citrus and piney hops with a good malt note, some assertive roasty notes and a bit of a herbal dry kick. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive hop notes with cascade and a bit of a piney kick that fades fairly quickly to fairly mild malty flavour with alcohol and a very pungent hop kick in the back. Aftertaste is nice, but fairly one-dimensional with only hops noticeable, but in a good way. Overall, a nice and rather fitting beer, aside for the fact that the malt (thus oatmeal) isn’t noticeable at all - and this is basically a hoppy amber ale with little else to support it’s intentions. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 21-July-2012 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 02-September-2012.

22 ounce bottle. Hazy amber gold color topped by a rocky off-white head. Piney hop nose. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor balanced by a subtle grapefruit hoppiness. Very smooth and nicely balanced, somewhat light bodied for an IPA. Finish is bitter and lingers nicely.

Tap at the Ginger Man, Manhattan - 29/05/12. Dark brown approaching black with a moderate tan head. Big cofffee nose allied to a little sweetish malt and a touch of fruit. Blast of fresh coffee in the taste Light to medium in body, moderate carbonation, smooth finish. A very well done coffee porter, did what it said on the tin and didn’t dissappoint!

22oz bottle-pours amber with a tan head. Aroma is nutty/cocoa-barley/medium malt/oats, some spice. Taste is roasty/nutty/cocoa-barley/medium malt/oats, some spice/earthy hops. Not what I expected, and out of the style box to my view, but probably in the hoppy English Brown Ale category. Quite enjoyable.

Draft. Amber color with a nice head. Rich malty aroma, some fruity esters and caramel. Interestng esters in the flavor, like banana gum, plus a bit of caramel and earthy hops. Very bitter finish, lots of bittering hops. Nice full body. Tasty, drinkable, and fun. Good.
