Refrigerated 16 oz. aluminum can from AirForceHops poured into a glass. Deep golden with medium white head. Aroma is fruity, medical body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is fruity, piney hops, with dry finish. Good maibock.

Pours a hazy yellow from a can. Strong lemon aroma, thought I was in for a shandy, but the citrus flavor is rather toned down from the aroma. Okay beer.

Clear golden liquid is topped by a small white head that recedes to cover.
Straightforward pale malts and citrusy hops in the nose have just a touch of light mango and even some pine. Don’t get the green tea in the nose, but perhaps it’s dry and clean. Hmmm, not much else to say about it.
The flavor is surprisingly bitter for a session IPA. Definitely must be some astringency from the green tea but it’s mostly masked by the lemon rind, grapefruit and light honey. Caramel notes combine with the citrus to produce the very common candied orange peel and the body is medium with maybe a bit more sweetness than is necessary, but by no means overly sweet. Certainly assertive and very clean, with tons of flavor for its abv. I like that the green tea isn’t overdone, but tons of astringency and bitterness linger on the finish. Watery texture, lively carbonation.

On tap at Firefly Slightly hazy light golden color medium short lived head. Spicy earthy hop bite clashes a bit with the citrus and spice that at times are overbearing. One and done for this guy.

Can on the train to a NJ Tuesday tasting so obviously u want to pregame a midweek beer tasting. Nose is piney and honey. Tastes of honey, caramel, pine needles, earthy bitter, biscuits. Dry finish. Quite tasty.

Can from Bert’s Deep golden color with a decent white head. Huge resinous pine on the nose with crackery bready malt underneath. Huge hop flavor and moderate bitterness. Helles bock this is not, if I were judging to style I would slam this beer. It is damn tasty though, call it an IPL instead.
