Description
Omission is the first craft beer brand in the United States focused exclusively on brewing great tasting craft beers with traditional beer ingredients, including malted barley, specially crafted to remove gluten.

Brewed by Widmer Brothers Brewing, gluten levels in every batch of Omission beer are measured by the brewery and two independent labs using the R5 Competitive ELISA test to ensure that the beer meets the brewery’s standards.

Backlog November 2013. Unclear golden body under a moderate sized white head. Strong piny aroma with hint of grapefruit and light caramel malt. Taste is sweet malt, piny, some grapefruit and rather bitter. Medium body with long lasting aftertaste.

Bottle. Light amber color. Decent, light tan head. Some light lace. Aroma is a sweet, light floral with just a wisp of tangerine. Taste is a light hoppy, citrus with a touch of caramel.

Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, soft bready and very grainy with a slight grassy hoppy touch. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Body is bordering on medium. Not that bad, bit dull but drinkable for a gluten-free Lager.
