Description
Twisted Barrel Ale exploded onto the Coventry beer scene on 29th March 2014.

After months of hard work developing a small selection of beers that would appeal to Coventry's patrons thirsting for our unique mix of modern and classical styles and methods we launched our beers at Coventry's number 1 bottle bar, Inspire, and it was a huge success. Originally brewing on a 60 litre kit, we described ourselves as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery'.

20th June 2015 and we held another launch. This time in our brand new Brewery and Tap House at FarGo Village. With a new 1000 litre brewing kit and an entirely new brand design from Stewart Easton, we've finally become the brewery we always set out to be. Almost 2 years later we transferred our bar and brewing kit into a space about 5 times larger than before, we're still serving the best beer at FarGo Village.

Can, huge thanks Hrabren and Višnja! H shared it with Ogi and me. Chocolate and peanut butter aroma, pretty simple, pretty efficient. Smooth, bit lean, dry taste, ending bitter, mainly peanut butter and light chocolate. Ending a bit roasty yet smooth in the finish. Quite nice in a way!

Can, huge thanks Višnja666 for bringing this to Hrabren, who shared it with us! Murky red body, slightly purple, pinkish head. Some gummi bears in the aroma, fermented fruit - pleasantly wine-like really, but sweeter. Very, very bready taste, mildly salty, actually not sweet but not sweet either really, ending dry, ending vaguely phenolic. Sub par to be honest... needs serious tweaking. On the other hand... can be drunk?

24-27/10/2023. From cask at the 45th Norwich Beer Festival. Pours cloudy/murky pale orange with a small frothy just off-white head. Aroma is tropical, malty, slightly musty, stewed, light resin. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Light creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Dry fruity finish. Didn't look so good but enjoyable otherwise.

Tap at Sommar Waterloo Street, Birmingham. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grassy dank hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, malt, herbal, wet blanket, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
