4th Aug 2016: cask in The Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire. Golden, very light/pale golden, white head. Fairly bland and uninteresting to be honest. Subtle nose and flavours, mild sweetness and a mini fruitiness, but not much of anything really.

4.7% ABV.

Cask at the Grain & Hop Store, Cambridge. Light gold, clear. A little bit of white head with considerable lacing. Some grapefruit, tropical fruit and hint of sulphur in the nose. Tastes of more than a bit of sulphur. Stale malt, sulphur, a hint of butter. Sweet and sulphury. I get used to it, and it’s dead fresh and served at a cool temperature so it’s drinkable. But not really my cup of tea.

Cask half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 25th July 2016. Pure, clean golden pour, white head. Dry, hoppy and slightly citrusy in nature. Nicely blended, but not really exciting, different or interesting (which I thought it might be).

500ml bottle from Aldi - clear golden body, short lasting head. Nose is biscuity, with some sweet citrus in there. Taste is dry and fresh, with a bitter finish. Nothing special but at £1.25 a pop not bad.
