Cask at the Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. Golden amber with a ring of white head; aroma of purple fruits and a touch of honey; full bodied with a fruity malt taste; and a crisp clean finish with a satisfying bitterness.

Masque Haunt Spoons. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, residual white head. Palate is light and dry with very modest carbonation. Sweetish malt, touch of caramel. Light tangy fruits, slightly jammy. Mild orange marmalade and a little floralness. Light dry finish. Okay.

Cask at the Shakespeare’s Head, JDW - London. Pours cler gold with a frothy white head. Sugary, pale bread in the aroma with notes of ripening citrus. Medium sweet flavorbwith lightly doughy white hred, miod orange, faint bitter hay. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Swee finish with a bit of sugary bread, citrusy meringue, minimal bitterness. Fair. Pretty drinkable.

Cask at the moon under water JDW Watford. Dull orange copper colour with a fleeting white head. Aroma is nutty raisin, low apple. Flavour is dull flat malt, sweet raisin, slightly oxidised. Earthy bitterness. Thinish palate. Not good.

Cask at The William Jolle (W’Spoons), Northwood Hills. A dark golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty aroma. Tastes similar, vaguely hoppy, malty, slightly bitter. One to forget.
