(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 8 Aug 2008) Dark amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, nutty nose with notes of dark fruit and roasted nuts. Malty, nutty taste with dried fruit and a fairly bittersweet finish. Decent bitter, but lacking something extra.

Cask@The Shakespeares Head. Hazy yellowish golden colour, creamy white head. Nice lace. Aroma is sparkling winelike, fruity and also has some quite strong wheatyness in it. Flavour is spicy, yeasty, wheaty, has some slight wooden notes along with nectar. Quite fullbodied, and varies a bit from the British witbier attempts I’ve stumbled accross.
