10/7/2019. Cask at the 30th Ealing Beer Festival. Pours clear golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, grapefruit, grass and flowers. Light to moderate sweetness and heavy bitterness. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation. Bitter and not especially pleasant finish.

Pale yellow beer, white head. Lemony, zesty smell. Flavour follows suit. Though even for 5% it's not that strong with it. A slightly dry finish and it's very crisp and refreshing. It's fine. I wouldn't rush back but it'd do the job on a hot day for sure.

I feel like there's only so much you can expect from an IPA of this strength but this is decent. The citra hops give it a good grapefruit hit and a decent sharp finish. Very sessionable.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A pale straw coloured pour with a cloose creamy white head; lovely aroma of slightly underripe grapefruit; oily body with an immediate hit of bitter citrus flavours - grapefruit, lemon and lime; then some chewy malts; and a long sweetish citrusy finish. Really good.

Handpull cask at Dartford WMC. Black, opaque and almost flat. Liquorice, plum, coffee beans, kindling and a touch of mint in the aroma. Sweet taste with lots if liquorice and milky coffee in the taste. Long finish with stone fruit and star anise. This is very nice.

330ml can: BB 29th Feb 2020. poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 20th June 2019. Large white, billowing head, clear amber/golden body. Citrus lead to the aroma and taste, as you would expect from the hop list (Citra, Simcoe and Chinook). Malts definitely playing 'second fiddle' nose and flavour wise. Nice enough, but just another golden, citrusy brew that seem to be flooding the UK market at the moment.

Cask at Pursuit of Hoppiness pours a watery, opaque black with a ring of off white head. Nose has chocolate malt balls, licorice, malt. Really just malt. Flavor is malty, bread, cocoa powder, some vanilla. Watery finish. Forgettable.
