1 Pint can from Sam The Beer Man, Binghamton NY. Unclear golden in the glass, mid white head. A lot of maracuja and orange on the nose. Taste starts with a pleasant floral bitterness. Also intensive tropical fruity with resin and honey. Crisp. Some malt in the background. Little bit alcoholic in the second part. Very nice one.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a moderate sort of hazy peachy orange color with a sustaining finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had a sweet peachy/slightly tropical fruity blend of hops hitting against a low malt backbone.
The flavor situated itself upon the sweetness of the hops, tasted really good. Malts seem to show some presence blending finely on into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected.
Overall, looking forward to grabbing more cans of this for fishing this Summer. Lake Champlain muskie better watch out with this in my hands, I’ll feel invincible, haha, not really, but it’ll make me feel good even after I don’t catch anything.

Not a California Common, but a Kentucky common, closest respected glassware would be a becher glass, I guess.
The appearance was a ruddy dark red almost brown, perhaps I could say \"mahogany\" in color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Stringy lace.
The aroma had a ton of malts in the front, somewhat sugary with a slight grassy to floral hoppiness ever so slightly at the end.
The flavor leads with the malts, and really brings in the grassy/floral hops at the back end. Malty aftertaste but something different about it than other \"malty beers’ aftertaste\" - somewhat like a sweet pine, but not like pine needles, maybe something herbal to it. I’m probably over thinking it, to be honest. Malty sort of floral/piney finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, I know ratebeer uses a catch all for \"traditional ale\" for a beer of this nature which was traditionally served in mugs as a \"Kentucky common.\" Maybe if more brewers produce \"Kentucky commons,\" this would eventually get it’s own \"style\" on here. Until then, sorry I didn’t have it in a mug, oh well. Tis good.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a black color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Some light lacing here and there.
The aroma had a decent blend of roasted malts, roasted nuts, some piney hops, some grassiness and then some citrusy hops backing it all up.
The flavor seemed to blend fairly well between the roast, the bitterness and sweet of all of the previously mentioned aromas. Sly roasty/bitter aftertaste. Quick semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable to sipping quality about it. Fair carbonation. ABV felt pretty spot on as determined by the brewer.
Overall, that’s a pretty nice black IPA worthy of coming back to.

Crowler to snifter, the appearance was a dark black color with a thin cap of a tan little head. Swiftly dies off and leaves no lace.
The aroma arranges a nice blend of roast to bitter to sweet of dark fruits, coffee beans, vanilla beans, and cocoa beans. Caramel ever so slightly but seemingly only to balance.
The flavor seems to embrace the blend of sweet to roast and adding a touch of bitter just underneath. The caramel and dark fruits seem to balance nicely to enliven a nice ebb and flow from aftertaste back to the flavor and then follow through on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Me, I think I’m still trying to understand \"crowler carbonation,\" and how they are carbed (most likely going to have to come back to this one).
Overall, very nicely done RIS that I would love to have again.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-dark milky brown sort of color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma takes on some sweet to roasty coffee tones up front and then dropping some caramel/toffee malts mildly flowing over some nuts. Subtle breadiness at the end.
The flavor seems to stick to the blend of sweet to roast and hitting a sly earthy dryness flowing on into the aftertaste and copying the finish decently.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine as projected.
Overall, nice English brown ale with perhaps a little bit of a coffee sort of twist to enhance the enjoyment a bit more.
