Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Caramel and tropical fruit aromas. Bitter caramel and earthy hops - i think this one was past it’s due date...

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a slim transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen bouncing off of particles/floaties in the glass. After the head dissipated, sticky foamy lacing sweeps the glass nicely.
The smell starts off with some sweet citrus making an effort to bring some bitterness to surface. Light sweet wheat slides into some caramel malts.
The taste was basically the same with a dry semi-sticky caramel malty aftertaste leading into a quick dry semi-sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a dry texture and a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs smooth allowing a sly stickiness to it.
Overall, this is a decent American pale wheat ale that I might have again.

Sampled at Tap NY 2015, 4/25/15
Really high quality IPA. May have been my favorite beer of Tap, and at the very least it was a clear member of my top 5. Big tropical/grapefruit hop aroma and flavor. Easy drinking. Right on with the bitterness and dryness levels. This is a very nice beer.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is mostly coffee and some hops. I didn’t get much money out of this at all. In fact, it wasn’t even really sweet. That said, the body was nice and creamy. Not a bad beer.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours slightly see-through dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is nuts, malts, fresh, yeasty bread. Beer is extremely refreshing. I came in parched (too much salty food) and this beer successfully rectified the problem. The acidity was there, but I was surprised not to find the sourness in there, but I suppose the explanation above explains it. Simple and tasty.
