500ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours murky orange, large white head. Lemon sherbet aroma. Taste appears like a highly carbonated Belgian Strong Ale with some white wine notes. Bizarrely recalls Mad Hatter’s Golden Oak, was this the intended result? Probably not, but well, it’s gorgeous.

500ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours hazy orange with foamy white head, some reluctant floaters. Aroma is floral, fuzzy, crystallised orange, bitter, wet cardboard. Taste is lightly bitter dandelions, some orange, vic secret hops, wet cardboard on the finish. Interesting pale.

500ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours hazy orange with the thinnest whisp of a head. Aroma is prominent sulphur, continuing to taste. Vague nods towards the C-hops used, but the sulphur and bitter dandelion elements tend to dominate. Shame.

500ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours black, no discernible head. Aroma is lightly peppery. Taste is thin, verging on watery, some emerging roast, vague saltiness. I guess this is more in tune with a schwarzbier than a kolsch, although it does have a light smoothness to it. Very light, sessionable. Not bad.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a creamy head. Aroma is pine and woody floral with some berry involved too. Similar in taste and very dry tasting in the palate with some spice. Has an underlying fruitiness.
