Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Hazy tawny-gold with a crispness, smoothness in its texture, and a small head. It has a slightly stewed tropical fruit taste, that’s similar in its nose but with a few malts too.

Cask at the Nags Head - Reading. Pours clear, pale yellow with a frothy white head. Smells...not good, with notes of vinegar, sweat. Light sweet flavor with more vinegar, grains, salty sweat, lemon. Light bodied, soft; wretched condition. Rough on the finish, more vinegary accents, damp grains, salt, lemon peel. Horrible. Shouldn’t be on sale. UPDATE: what’s a bit shocking, is that two members of the staff tried it and thought it tasted alright.
