Bottle 500ml.[ Trade by madmitch76 ]. Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, nutty, dusty malt, light to moderate hoppy, grass notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130405]

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, dusty malt, light hoppy. Initial flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter, finish flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty nutty, chocolate, hoppy bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130405]

Cask at North Birmingham Beer; dark brown pour with velvety tan head, heavy malt and coffee aroma, coffee hint of vanilla very earthy and roasty with a decent amount of bitterness.

500ml bottle. Copper amber colour, creamy off-white head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of malt caramel & toffee. Taste is sweet malt, slightly roasted, with caramel, toffee, brown sugar, raisins, fruit cake and some lingering spicy bitterness. Smooth mouth feel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, warming alcohol comes through at the finish. Quite OK.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clearish gold with a fine, white foam head. Some pale, sweet and bready malts in the nose, light tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with white bread and more citrus, especially tangerine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sticky sweet finish, standard pale malt sweetness, lemon, tangerine. Very drinkable if not exceedingly deep.

Craft Clerkenwell. Clear amber beer, no real head. Palate is light with very moderate carbonation. Mild dry malt - light caramel. A little tangy dried fruits. Semi dry finish. Mmmmm. When I think back to 1978 and what a great single Identity was - this is a remarkably flaccid tribute! It really falls short of the brashness and inventiveness of the band. Perhaps I’m expecting too much.

Great praise to Fin & Loz & Isobel for bringing a 330ml bottle all the way from England to Tromsø a few months ago. Pours a deep palisander coloured body, and a beige foamy head with a solid stand. Inviting grainy chocolate smell, impression of roast malts. Fine blended taste of chocolate, oats and nuts. Dry bittersweet finish. Easy to drink. Nice (shared in company with Finn at Finns in Tromsø, 08.05.2013).
