Cask at Grove Inn, Hudds. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is icing sugar, straw, dough and farmyard. The taste is bitter-sweet, icing sugar, straw, bitter pine, pith citrus, soap, toilet cleaner and alcohol with a bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. I really don’t appreciate the sweetness in this beer. Odd stuff indeed.

500ml bottle - nice deep ruby body, thick white lasting head. Good malty aroma, hefty kick of dried fruit there too. The taste has a well rounded cake fruit taste to it, with a nice bitter finish. It has a meaty mouthfeel to it too. Quite impressed with this. New entry into my Top 20 ESB Hit Parade!
