Description
Established in 2010, Revolutions is a music-inspired micro brewery producing a range of cask ales of all styles from pale ales through to stouts and porters. Home to the multi award-winning Swoon Chocolate Fudge Milk Stout. The brewery also holds beer from other breweries from Yorkshire and further afield and currently sources beer for many beer festivals across the UK.

Brewing ceased in March 2023.

Cask at the Waggon & Horses, Stourbridge. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is fudgy milk chocolate. Taste has fruity milk chocolate to start and a fudge milk chocolate milkshake.

Cask at GBBF ‘19, day 4, 09/08/19. Light black with a tan head. Nose is Sweet malts, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises toffee melt, chocolate fudge, sweet malts, dried fruits, light roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad.

Gravicask, third, shared with Finn at the 22nd Oxford Beer & Cider Festival. No head, hazed golden body, poor lacing. Very modest spiced fruity smell. Flavoured with ginger, paper and cucumber. Prolonged ending. Possible to drink, not my kind of mix. (25.10.2019).

Delt med Rune på 22nd Oxford Beer & Cider Festival 2019. Ferskenfarget. 0 skum. Uklar. Aroma av ingefær og ihjelkokte grønnsaker. Smaken det samme. No good.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2019. A hazed deep orange coloured pour with a no head. Aroma is flabby saison yeast, clove, szechwan pepper, green paper. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, flabby grains, banana, saison yeast, clove. Palate is semi sweet, spicy, moderate carbonation, flabby.

19th and 20th July 2019, hand-pulled half-pints at The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Clean golden pours, white heads. Citrus notes in the aroma and taste, fairly bitter finish, decent.

Crown Inn, Oakengates; 19th July 2019, hand-pulled half-pint. Tanned head, black bodied. Roasted maltiness in the aroma and taste with chocolate and coffee esters and flavours to the fore, half bitter, half semi-sweet. Pleasant end of a mini session of halves.
