Description
Established in 2010, Revolutions is a music-inspired micro brewery producing a range of cask ales of all styles from pale ales through to stouts and porters. Home to the multi award-winning Swoon Chocolate Fudge Milk Stout. The brewery also holds beer from other breweries from Yorkshire and further afield and currently sources beer for many beer festivals across the UK.

Brewing ceased in March 2023.

ABV: 5.4%. Clear medium orange - amber yellow colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, rich malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, ripe fruit - dried fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long duration, rich malt, fruity hops, ripe fruit - dried fruit, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181019]

Cask @ Nottingham Beer Festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, hops and fruits. Sweet finish.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 191018

Cask @ Lion & Key, Hull. Very lightly hazed golden-blonde with a creamy head. Has a mildly stewed flavour and a light tangy fruitiness, evident in both aroma and taste.

Tried at the Cardinals Hat. Lincoln. Pale golden beer with a tight white head. Lots of blueberry aroma. Taste light sweet. Medium body.

Cask @ Nightjar, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a head. Citrus based hoppy ale, but quite fruity at a fairly easy strength.

On tap at the Mad Squirrel Shop, Chesham. A hazy amber pour with a billowing white head; distinct blueberry aroma; grainy body with a slightly sour blueberry taste; and some yeast to finish. Clean and refreshing.

Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2018. A light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a a loose off white head. Aroma is grassy hop, weed, straw, light grains. Flavour is composed of spicy citrus, grains, straw, grassy hop, sileage. Palate is dry grains, decent condition. Not bad, rough round the edges.

Very dark brown and opaque with thin soapy head. Aroma has some dark malts and lots of sweet toffee and chocolate. Flavour is similar but there's a background grassy element bringing it down. Lacks some body too.

Straw blond with thin head. Aroma and flavour have obvious blueberry. Floral and sweet. Gets nice and in the finish from the yeast.
