750ml wired cork bottle from Famelia bottle shop, Newtown. 2017 Vintage. For #rgpm. Opened with a pop. Slightly hazed bright golden colour, foamy white head and aroma of perry pear, fruit, funk. Taste is tart, peary, fruity, juicy, with some wood barrel, vanilla, light citric acidity and alittle tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry peary finish. Nicely drinkable.

1.5L wired cork Magnum from Goblin Wines, Marrickville. 2021 Vintage. Opened with a pop. Hazy orange golden colour, foamy white head and aroma of apple, caramel, funk. Taste is sweetish, tart, appley, fruity, juicy, caramel, toffee, with barnyard funk, orchard floor and mellow bittersweet tannin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying funky tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

0.33 l bottle from 'Beerdome'. Hazy, golden amber with a few, quickly disappearing, white bubbles on top of it. Sweetish, slightly sourish, quite fruity and a bit funky aroma of ripe apple, walnut, light honey and a touch of hay. Minimally sweet, fairly dry, slightly sour, gently fruity and a little funky taste of ripe apple, hay, sulfur, iron and hints amof walnut, followed by a short, slightly tart, rather dry finish. Thin body, slightly astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Refreshing, rustic cider.

Pleasant aroma of pears and apples, a hint of sulphites and oak. Fairly dry flavour, notes of pears, hints of sulphites and oak again. Must be good with food.
